About Us

Curran Foods Ltd is one of the largest independent wholesale food distributors of Ambient, Chilled, Frozen and Non-food goods in the South of Ireland. It was established as Pat Curran Frozen Foods Ltd in March 1962 by Pat and Nora Curran. At that time ice cream was the principal line of business, however over a number of years, to better service its expanding customer base, the company diversified into catering & food service products.

n 1988, Curran Foods relocated to a new purpose built multi-temperature warehouse in Waterford City under the leadership of CEO Gerard Curran. Gerard has led the company for over four decades and now works alongside his daughter Leonora, and General Manager Bill Cummins, who together continue to drive the company’s growth and success.

Our family-owned business has grown from humble beginnings into one of the largest independent wholesalers in the Republic of Ireland. As a trusted company operating for over 60 years, Curran Foods is now a third-generation business continuing a proud tradition of offering innovative products, excellent customer service, and competitive pricing. We provide complete foodservice solutions to the FMCG and hospitality sectors across the Republic of Ireland.
